The USA is in terrible shape. In the last hundred years, the legacy given to us by the Founding Fathers has been squandered. The brilliant design of our limited-government organization powered by a free-market engine has been twisted beyond recognition. We have suffered a malaise in our culture and stagnation in our economy. We have created an expanding class of dependent citizens and trillion-dollar deficits as far as the eye can see.

There are many things that you can do to try to have an affect on what is going on; write your congressman, attend rallies, make phone calls, or attend town meetings. However, this type of political activism is difficult to do, especially over the long term. Efforts such as the Tea Parties are declining from sustained attacks from the left, and also because people who support them become disillusioned or exhausted. Those of us on the right, have to do whatever we do, politically, along with working jobs, raising families, and keeping up houses. The model used by the left (political activism) doesn’t work for us. We need something easy, something that takes little or no time and can be sustained for decades.

VoteAmericaFree.com is based on the principle that all that you have to do is vote for people what will restore freedom to the American system. Sounds too easy, but it is true. The trick is to know WHO they are and to do it CONSISTANTLY.

OK, sounds like nothing new, but it is. In fact, it has never been done before. Our politicians are still being elected through slick advertising and name-recognition. VoteAmericaFree.com cuts through their distortions by rating their bills, rather than rating the politicians. As politicians line up behind bills, they give themselves away.

We call our score the “Freedom Score”, because it shows how well the politician votes for things that will reduce the size of government and increase your freedom. The score is from 0 to 100 with the highest scores being the best. It is customized to include only issues that matter to you.

We are not affiliated with any other organization and we have a single purpose, rating bills. Thus, we will provide an objective assessment in a clear, easily understood format. Unlike other scoring websites, in addition to providing a simple number, we provide, for each bill, a short, written assessment of the bill and the reasoning behind our scoring. You should read some of these assessments. They are short, often employ a bit of humor, and, most importantly will help you determine if we are rating the bills as you would yourself.

You can use this website in two ways:

  • Vote your own congressmen in or out. A score of 70 is a good rule of thumb. Above that, your congressman is a keeper, below that, your congressman is part of the problem. Your congressman cannot be rehabilitated. He / she must be voted out.
  • When you see a politician in the media, it is often hard to tell where he / she is “coming from”. By checking their Freedom Score, you will know. Try this out on a few politicians that you know. You will see that it works beautifully.

    • Socialism is “bought and sold” emotionally. People who believe in it cannot be reasoned with; they have to be out-voted. Fortunately, those of use who believe in freedom and limited government are in the majority.

    This website is free and purely informational. However, we need your help in getting the word out.
